User Password Change?

Is it true that ONLY Admin has the power to change user password.
We have to have several editors and contributors for your site.
Is there any way that an editor or contributor can change login password?

If you manually enter users then this is correct, only Admin can change passwords of manually entered users. That’s because the “manually entered users” option is really a sort of boot strap for user access until you can connect CM1 to your real user directory (LDAP or Microsoft Active Directory). Once you connect CM1 to your real directory, then all the user account management functions happen as normal in that directory, everything from setting passwords to creating policies and reminders for password management and so on. The user name and password for CM1 will then be the same as the login name and password to get in to the operating system itself.

We’re trying not to reinvent the wheel here. All user management functions that already exist we just tie into via your existing directory. There is a one time configuration to this but then all you have to do is pick user accounts from the directory and “import” them to CM1.

Get it! Thanks:D

Vern,

How exactly do we connect CM1 to Active Directory?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out!
