Under "Edit Meta-data" modal, how do I properly link a .js asset?

I know the normal way is to put:
script src=“navigate/to/your/javascript_file.js” type=“text/javascript” /script

What I don’t know is how to file tree works to get it to properly link to the .js files.

I’m using the “Additional head content” section under the “Additional Code”

the javascript file i’m trying to link is in my:
folder, but when i put:
script src="/Assets/foundation/files/SpryAssets/SpryTabbedPanels.js" type=“text/javascript” /script
in there it doesn’t work.

Yes, I have the proper tags around my text in the modal, I just wasn’t sure how to get it to show in this post with the open/close tags around the script.

Am i properly linking the .js file?

Hi Andrew,

The proper location for all your .js and .css files is your “themes” folder (stored under /Design/web_resources/themes/yourtheme/js/yourfile.js). That way, those JS files are out of your content contributors’ way (as Design/web_resources area is only visible to Administrators and Designers).

So assuming that you uploaded your JS file in your themes folder, here’s what you would insert into your “Edit Meta-Data” dialog:

<script src="/web_resources/themes/conservia/js/jquery.timers-1.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
