Is there any issue with paying a developer to fix these items for our site? Will this screw up Percussions settings? Will I have to redo it when Percussion is updated?

You are free to hire a developer to modify any of your own content, files/resources or pages but your developer must not touch any Percussion System files, Libraries, or resources that CM1 ships with. Tempering with any of these files may alter the functionality of the application.
