IMPORTANT: Google Analytics issue within CM1: affects all versions

We have identified an issue with the Google Analytics feature within CM1 that will cause it to stop working if a change is made to the dashboard gadget. Additionally, it is not currently possible to create new profile. This issue affects all current versions of CM1. We are currently working on a fix for this issue and hope to provide a patch or a release to address it. As soon as we have more information on this issue, updates will be posted in this thread.

Note:

  • If you have already configured Google Analytics in CM1, do not make any changes to the Gadget: it will continue to work unless a change is made to the configuration. Once a change is made, it will not be possible to authenticate with Google until a fix is implemented by Percussion.
  • If you have not already configured Google Analytics, you will not be able to do so until a fix is released by Percussion.
  • Upgrades will not affect Google Analytics, so long as you do not make any changes to the configuration.

We have not upgraded yet but we just now encountered a problem. See screenshot attached.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for asking, we are currently wrapping up the needed enhancements for the Google API changes.

The current plan is that we will have a minor point release in the next couple of weeks (internal Release Candidate is planned for early next week) that includes a correction for this issue, a few minor SEO and functional improvements for various Widgets, and a performance improvement related to the full text Indexing service.
