We’ve had a few issues over the past day with Rhythmyx needing to be restarted after grinding to a halt.
Looking at the logs, the problem appears to be caused by a search request:
An exception occurred while processing the internal request handler call: S1000: The query processor ran out of internal resources and could not produce a query plan. This is a rare event and only expected for extremely complex queries or queries that reference a very large number of tables or partitions. Please simplify the query. If you believe you have received this message in error, contact Customer Support Services for more information. HY010: Preparing the statement failed: Output parameters have not yet been processed. Call getMoreResults().
The search query is then produced in the log with 1000’s of content ID’s listed.
I’m still wating for further details but it looks like a long term user has gone into their ‘Inbox’ folder for the first time ever to try and workflow some content.
This has snarled up the browser session and the server and every time the user has tried to log back in, we appear to see the search repeated, bringing RX down again.
Is is possible to set a maximum number of results to return? Also, how can I clear the user’s session and send them to a default folder to stop the searching when they log in again?
